According to Oji Onoko, Awards Coordinator & Deputy Director Overseeing the Office of Director, Information Services Department, National Gallery of Art, the artist, who will be 91 years old in August, “is an acclaimed master printmaker globally and acknowledged for his coaching of a younger generation of artists.”
Chief (Mrs.) Nike Okundaye got the Outstanding Visual Arts Personality of the Year Award. Along with her well-known skills in adire and bead creation, she has evolved into a contemporary artist, mentor, and great businesswoman.
