Opean letter to our leaders, and KEDCO

I humbly write to draw the attention of our leaders, and the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) on the uneven distribution of electricity in my hometown of Hadejia since this year’s holy Ramadan began on March 22.

We are already eight days into the 29 or 30 days of the holy month, but the situation has just been bad and remain the same. The KEDCO has not been fair to other places in the hometown of Hadejia, in the distribution of electricity during this period of Ramadan.

We are very much aware that Hadejia KEDCO had been evenly distributing electricity to both feeder 1 and feeder 2 before the holy period commenced, and we can attest to the fact that they had been fair in the distribution before the holy period, but the situation suddenly changed as we are just eight days into the holy period of Ramadan, with only feeder 1 enjoying the even distribution, while feeder 2, throughout all these days, suffers hours of power outage.

I am a victim of this power outage. The situation has been so terrible.

Interim government is a joke taken too far

Gandujiyya shall continue to grow despite hate

Where are our so-called leaders that left no stone unturned during election campaign tours to get themselves into the juicy political offices? They have perhaps during this period travelled abroad to enjoy picnics, parties and other hobbies at the expense of tractable woes bedevilling us all. But many people believe they are around, but they choose to act otherwise.

The dialogue now is between our leaders and KEDCO. They are expected to meet with KEDCO management and end the tractable problem be-devilling us every fasting period.
