To His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
We, the Coordinated Arewa Youth Groups from Northern Nigeria, write to bring to your attention a pressing matter regarding the vacant position of Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, following the appointment of Mr. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
After an emergency meeting in Kano, we discussed the way forward for this key position. Given the significant support the APC enjoys in the North West geo-political zone, particularly in Kano State, which delivered a substantial number of votes in the 2023 general elections, we humbly request that you consider our zone for this role.
We wish to bring to your kind attention Hon. Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’o’ji, a respected and renowned youth leader from Kano State. He has been recognized for his unwavering commitment to youth development and humanitarian causes. Recently, the Emir of Daura honored him with the title “Adon Garin Kasar Hausa” (The Jewel of Hausa Land) for his outstanding contributions.
As a member of the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education (Technical) in Potiskum, Yobe State, Hon. Ja’o’ji has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to education and youth empowerment. His initiatives include providing scholarships to students both within and outside Nigeria, empowering youths and women through cash grants and skills acquisition, and promoting national integration.
Hon. Ja’o’ji’s loyalty to the APC and its policies is unshakeable, and his grassroots support is undeniable. We believe his appointment as the next Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation would be a strategic move, given his experience, capacity, and dedication to serving humanity.
We assure you, Mr. President, that Hon. Ja’o’ji’s appointment would be a well-deserved recognition of his contributions and a testament to your administration’s commitment to empowering the youth and promoting inclusive development.
We look forward to your wise consideration of this matter.
Signed:
