Dozens of students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) who sat for either the first or second semester computer-based exams in November 2015 are grumbling after their respective results were said to have gone missing.
Levels one and two students wrote computer-based tests while levels three and four as well as post-graduate students took paper-based tests according to the university’s guideline. Students were expected to receive their results immediately after the computer tests.
But a number of students, mostly from the Dutse Study centre in Abuja, have complained that their grades have gone missing. A female Level two student told Daily Trust that “I wrote my first semester statistics exam in November, yet I was not given the results.”
Another student also said he hasn’t gotten the grades of two of the courses he sat for last year.
The Centre Director, Professor Abubakar Garba Suleiman, said students who failed to give clear information about themselves during the exams may not get their results immediately. He said those who failed to write their names, numbers, level or course title might experience some delay.
“Students could forward their complaints to any of our 70 centres across the country by completing a form and exercise patience because the cases are attended to on first come, first served basis,” the director said.
