The Media and Information Officer, Operation Safe Haven, the multi-security task force in charge of maintaining security in Plateau as well as Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa local government areas of Bauchi states, Captain Ikedichi Iweha has been promoted to a Major.
Daily Trust report that the now Major who was decorated at the taskforce head quarters in Jos has also been transferred to Army Headquarters, Public Relations in Abuja.
Major Iweha who was commissioned into the Nigerian Army Directorate of Public Relations in October 2008 as a member of the Direct Regular Commission; course 16 was posted to HQ18 division Army Public Relations Lagos between 2008 and 2009. Iweha was nominated to beef up Nigerian battalion 16 United Nations African mission to Dafur, Sudan in 2009.
In 2010, he was posted to HQ 3 brigade Kano and on March 17th 2014, took over as Media and Information Officer, Operation Safe Haven in Jos.
OPSH Commander Major General Rogers Nicholas commended Major Iweha for his exceptional contributions to the success of Operation Safe Haven and urged him to be ready to take on additional responsibilities.
