The Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), the multi-security task-force maintaining peace in Plateau State and some parts of Southern Kaduna and Bauchi State has paraded 17 suspects over alleged armed robbery, Sara Suka, murder, civil disturbances, money doubling and illegal possession of weapons.

During the parade at the command’s headquarters in Jos yesterday, the Media Officer, Captain Umar Ahmad, said those suspected of armed robbery were arrested at Hawan Kibo road.

He said those arrested in connection with Sara Suka (thuggery), illegal possession of weapons, and murder among others were arrested in Jos metropolis, Mangu town, Miango village and other parts of the state.

The OPSH said that the suspects were arrested from the month of August to September 2017. It said after the parade the command would hand them over to appropriate agency for proper prosecution.

Captain Umar added that out of the 17 arrested, two were arrested in connection with attempt to set Miango village of Bassa Local Government ablaze after the recent skirmishes in the area.
