Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), the multi-security taskforce maintaining peace in Plateau and parts of Bauchi State, says it has seized about 4, 000 arms and ammunition from Plateau communities between July and November 2016.
The Commander of the taskforce, Major General Rogers I. Nichols, told the media in Jos yesterday that the command seized the arms during its mop-up exercises conducted to arrest the circulation of weapons in plateau.
The commander said the weapons, including about a hundred seized so far this month, had been submitted to defense headquarters.
