The Force Commander of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Major General Moses Gara, has charged newly promoted officers of the Armed Forces and the police to uphold integrity, discipline, and loyalty as they assume higher responsibilities.
Speaking in Makurdi during the decoration of 11 officers, Gara stressed that promotion comes with greater expectations.
He urged them to lead by example, reminding them that subordinates look up to their leaders while superiors demand results.
“You must make integrity your watchword,” Gara said, noting that commitment and sacrifice remain the pillars of effective service.
Those decorated included nine Nigerian Army officers elevated to the rank of Major, a Naval officer promoted to Lieutenant Commander, and a police officer advanced to Deputy Superintendent of Police.
