Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, and ex-Frist Lady Patience Jonathan, were among the dignitaries that graced the book launch of Aisha Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Although a top member of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s government, Orubebe became a household name among Nigerians when he attempted to scuttle the coalition process of the 2015 election that brought President Muhammadu Buhari into power.

One of the agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election, Orubebe had seized the microphone, and for several minutes insisted Professor Attahiru Jega, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), leave the results collation centre at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
He said Jega’s conduct showed he was clearly biased against the ruling PDP.
He had alleged Jega acted promptly on complaints from the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) but refused to accept a petition from the PDP regarding the results declared so far.
He later tendered an apology to the nation.
At the book launch of Aisha Buhari, Orubebe seated comfortably inside the banquet hall of the presidential villa where other dignitaries were.
Others who attended are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Sa’ad Abubakar II, the Ooni of Ife, Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, wife of former Vice President, Amina Sambo.
Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum(NGF) and Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Chairman of Northern States Governors Forum and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Atiku Bagudu, and the Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, were also there.
