A Board Member of the National University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Osabinu Olufemi, has congratulated the Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, on his victory in the just concluded All Progressives Congress primary election.

Bamidele, who contested unopposed, reportedly polled 29,586 votes during the exercise.

In a statement on Monday, Olufemi described the outcome of the primary as “a clear validation of purposeful leadership, visionary representation, and unwavering commitment to national development.”

He said the victory reflected the confidence reposed in the Senate Leader by party stakeholders and residents of Ekiti Central Senatorial District.

According to him, “This overwhelming mandate is not merely a political victory; it is also a victory for the good people of Ekiti State who have continued to benefit immensely from Senator Bamidele’s influence, intellect, and strategic positioning as Senate Leader.”

Olufemi commended Bamidele’s role in the National Assembly, noting that he had contributed significantly to constitutional reforms, democratic stability, economic policy advancement, and institutional development in the country.

He also praised the Senate Leader’s legislative coordination on issues relating to economic recovery, fiscal reforms, education, youth empowerment, and democratic governance.

“His role in driving consensus within the Senate has further elevated Nigeria’s legislative credibility both locally and internationally,” he stated.

The university governing board member further described Bamidele as a dependable statesman whose contributions transcend regional politics.

“At a time when Nigeria requires experienced leadership, patriotic commitment, and legislative stability, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has continued to stand tall as a dependable statesman,” Olufemi added.

He prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the Senate Leader as he continues in public service.
