The Surveyor-General of the Federation, Prof. Peter Nwilo while inaugurating the committee, enjoined members to  convert some assets and maps  of the agency available in both hard and soft copies to generate income.
Professor Nwilo describes the office as a raw material repertoire which can provide information that people need.
 He said, “The National Planning Commission has nominated the office as part of the sectors for e-government pilot project. The e-government is an official Development Assistance project of the South Korean Government in Nigeria.”
 The Surveyor-General pointed out that OSGOF as the National Geospatial Data Repository will facilitate the implementation of e-government in the country.
