The design concept captures the history and culture of the Hausa people spread through Northern Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, Senegal among others.
The visual book traces the ethic group’s path right from its inception to the modern day. Adebayo put in a lot of work into the book, studying the Hausa people and culture. The pages are filled with photographs that highlight the unique dress codes and Arab inspired architecture.
The illustrator also covers the literature, foods and symbolism of the Hausa population.
