A former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II; Abia State Governor, Alex Otti; Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu; and businessman Mr. Atedo Peterside are among personalities to grace the Oxford Global Think Tank Leadership Conference scheduled for Abuja.

Themed: “Better Leadership for a Better Nigeria,” the high-level conference will bring together national leaders, business executives, and policy influencers to reflect on Nigeria’s leadership journey at 65, address critical governance challenges, and explore pathways for transformation, equity, and national renewal.

The event which comes up on October 28, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, is being hosted by the Oxford Global Think Tank, founded by global finance and development expert Ms. Arunma Oteh.

Organisers said the conference is designed to catalyse strategic dialogue across the public, private, and civic sectors on the role of ethical, inclusive, and results-driven leadership in shaping Nigeria’s future.

Other prominent participants expected at the conference include former Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim, former Ekiti State Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Fidelity Bank CEO Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Sterling Bank CEO Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, Zinox Chairman Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh, and Flutterwave CEO Mr. Gbenga Agboola, among other corporate leaders, heads of government agencies, thought leaders, and youth innovators from across sectors.

According to the organisers, the conference will also feature sessions built around four key pillars: Public Policy and Inclusive Governance, Economic Transformation through Business Leadership, Technology and Entrepreneurship, and Intergenerational Transition, serving as a platform for actionable conversations and collective solutions.

As part of the programme, the Oxford Global Think Tank will unveil its maiden report titled: “RAMP Africa: Reforming African Minerals to Prosper Africa.”

In addition, its Founder, Ms. Oteh, will present her recently published book, All Hands on Deck: Unleash Prosperity through World Class Capital Markets, released earlier this year in the United Kingdom.

A curated art exhibition on leadership will also run alongside the event, offering visual and audio reflections on the conference’s central themes.

Organisers say the conference coincides with Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, providing an opportunity for introspection and dialogue on how visionary and accountable leadership can drive the nation toward sustainable progress.
