Acting President Yemi Osinbajo will preside over a town hall meeting at the National Stakeholders Summit on Environment to be held in Abuja.

Inaugurating the technical committee for the summit in Abuja, the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Environment and Habitat, Rep Obinna Chidoka (PDP, Anambra) said the acting president has given an assurance to be part of the summit in October.

He said the summit was to come earlier but that due to the acting president’s commitments, it was postponed to the first week of October to give him adequate time to attend and preside over the town hall meeting. 

The coordinator of the summit, Chukwudi Oracle Nwala, said issues of focus during the summit would be pollution, industrialization, biodiversity, oil and gas impact on environment as well as greenhouse impact on natural resources among others.
