For winning the contest, Miss Olawole went home with the star prize of a brand new car worth N4million, N2million cash and other packages. The new queen also received the awards of Miss Congeniality.
In the one year of her reign, Miss Leticia will also serve as the Face of Mothers Against Child Abandonment (MACA), an initiative of Mrs. Obioma Liyel Imoke. The queen’s role in that capacity will involve advocacy among school children as a way of preventing the spate of teenage pregnancies and child abandonment.
Runners-up included Miss Obikwelu Uche Kourtney who also went home with a cash prize of 500,000 Thousand Naira and Miss Tochie Emenike who came up Second Runner Up and was awarded a cash prize of 200,000 Naira.
Speaking, founder of MACA, Mrs. Obioma Liyel-Imoke stated that the pageant was borne out of the need to address the menace of child abandonment and neglect by using a young person as an advocate who would be going to post primary schools to sensitize young people on the ills of pre-marital sex.
