The Ilobu Development Union (IDU), a socio-cultural group of indigenes of Ilobu, Osun State, has assured the people of the community of free traffic flow during the Islamic festive period next week.
The union allayed the fear of the people over the heavy gridlock that is usually experienced during festive periods in the town due to the dilapidation of the Osogbo/Ilobu road.
The IDU president, Dauda Adebisi, said in a statement yesterday that the Chairman of the Irepodun Local Government, Hon Anthony Abayomi, had put in place mechanisms to ensure a hitch-free traffic flow before, during and after the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabr festival.
Adebisi said, “We shall follow up on this with security arrangements to further guarantee the safety of lives and properties.”
