A magistrate court in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, yesterday remanded a 27-year-old man, Yemi Mathias Ayo, in a correctional centre for allegedly defrauding his neighbours.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akintunde Jacob, told the court that Ayo committed the offence on November 24, 2019 at Union Bank Plc, Osogbo.

Jacob said that the accused person defrauded Oluwakemi Faniyi of the sum of N30,000 and another person, Esther Kikelomo, of N10,000.

Ayo, who had no legal representative, pleaded not guilty.

The magistrate, Mrs Modupe Awodele, remanded him at the Ilesha Correctional Centre till February 25, 2020.
