Nigerian popstar, Davido has congratulated his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke for winning the governorship ticket under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Senator Adeleke was declared the winner on Tuesday by the Chairman of the Osun PDP primary election, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. He polled 1,887 votes to clinch the ticket ahead of the July 16 governorship election in the state.

The Osun PDP primary election caused a rift in the Adeleke family as another relative of the pop star, Dele, aimed to get the PDP ticket to the disapproval of the singer.

After the party’s primary election, Dele Adeleke, who contested against Ademola Adeleke polled just one vote.

Celebrating the winner of the PDP primary election, Davido took to his Instagram story with several videos of his uncle at the polling units with several captions which identifies with his uncle’s slogan ‘Imole’

One of the captions read, “Imole!!! @ademolaadeleke_01!!! E Clear.”

Another congratulatory message by the multiple award-winning artiste read, “Imole congrats, Congrats Osun.”
