Osun State government has spent over N150 million on various projects in different communities across the state under the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP).
The Chairman of CSDP in Osun State, Alhaji Abdulrahman Musa who disclosed this at a press conference in Osogbo, the state capital, noted that the impact of the state government was felt at the grassroots.
He observed that the Aregbesola administration has succeeded in reducing poverty through the CSDP programme.
According to him, the contribution of the state government to CSDO across the three senatorial districts of Osun State was commendable as it had touched virtually every community in the state.
Speaking, General Manager of Osun CSDP, Mrs Funmi Abokede, said the state government was committed to improving the lives of the poor through provision of social amenities.
She added that the motive of the committee was to empower communities to plan and implement multi-sectorial micro projects.
Abokede assured that CSDP would not relent in ensuring the wellbeing of the masses and also would keep promoting functional education.
