Residents of Otukpo town in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State are excited over the ongoing reconstruction of the dilapidated federal government road connecting the ancient city to Makurdi, the state capital and Enugu State.
Our correspondent reports that relief came the way of the residents few weeks ago when the Chief Executive Officer of Ochacho Real Homes Estates, King Mohammed Adah and the President of Ochacho Foundation, Alex Enokela Ogbe, mobilised equipment to begin reconstruction of the road.
A resident, Okopi Akpa, said: “It’s the major road in Otukpo. I can say that for the past 20 years, this section of the road between Otukpo roundabout and Bypass junction had been neglected and impassable.”
Similarly, a commercial bus driver, Ejiga Adole, said he heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that work had begun on the road.
“I can only pray that God will bless Ochacho for doing this for his fatherland. I learnt the other time that prominent sons of Idomaland made contributions to put the road in motorable shape but that didn’t turn out well. May God bless the duo.”
Also, the Chairman of Ado LGA, Chief James Oche, has hailed the CEO of Ochacho Real Homes Estates, King Mohammed Adah and the President of Ochacho Foundation, Alex Enokela Ogbe, for their efforts in community development.
Oche said King Mo (as he is fondly called) and Alex Ogbe are young men committed to the development of their community. He said this was evident in the number of community projects embarked upon by them through the Ochacho Foundation.
“The Ochacho brothers are in the media for the ongoing reconstruction of the dilapidated federal government road within Otukpo. A thing said to have sparked jubilation among the people, transporters and travelers,” he stated.
Oche also commended them for partnering with him to bring development to the people of Ado LGA through the donation of solar street lights.
The Chairman of Otukpo LGA, George Alli, expressed joy and commended the philanthropists for their intervention on rehabilitation of a section of the federal road in Otukpo.
“For taking it upon himself to come to the aid of our people who ply the road daily, due to its strategic importance in their day to day runnings, I thank my brother from the bottom of my heart, on behalf of the Idoma people.
