The Benue State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) has reiterated its commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that will enhance teachers’ welfare, learning outcomes and overall education standards in the state.

Spoke in Makurdi while receiving the liaison officer of donor agencies, the executive chairman of the SUBEB, Grace Adagba, said the state would partner with the Save the Children International (SCI) to drastically reduce the number of out-of-school children in the state.

A statement on Tuesday by the SUBEB’s information officer, Emmanuella Akese, said the visit followed a request from the SCI to discuss the ongoing implementation and progress of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) programme in the state.

Adagba commended the SCI, the GPE and other development partner for their continued support towards improving access to inclusive and quality education for children in Benue State.

The statement said the liaison officer, Joshua Anar,  presented key updates on the milestones of the GPE programme, highlighting achievements recorded in targeted schools as well as the collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening the quality of basic education delivery across the state.
