Voters are complaining over failure of card readers which has hampered accreditation in many polling units across the state.

At polling units 009, 10 and 11 (Mayo Gwoi Ward) situated at Hassan Primary School Jalingo, there were complaints of card readers not functioning.

Our correspondent observed that the card readers were showing “no validated date” on the screen and could not verify voters cards.

Presiding officers at the units told our correspondent that they were not trained on how to configure the machines and were waiting for INEC engineers to come and fix the problem.

Also at polling unit 16 situated at Low Cost Primary School, Magami, Jalingo, the presiding officer, Polycarp David, said he could not accredit voters due to failure of card readers.
