Outrage over Fayose’s death-wish advert

A front page death-wish advert for All Progressives Congress’ Presidential Candidate Muhammadu Buhari by Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose has sparked criticism online.

Publisher of Ovation, Dele Momodu tweeting on the twitter handle @DeleMomodu said “This Fayose ad has done monumental damage to the Jonathan campaign; it is the last straw to PDP’s campaign of calumny against BUHARI.

said “But Fayose messed up sha.”

 said “Fayose’s utterances are regrettable. The platform that showcased same are equally to blame.”
tweeted “I kinda suspect that Fayose is deliberately trying to incite violence ‘s supporters must ignore these gimmicks”
 Fayose’s name is now trending on twitter with most of the comment criticising the advert death wish advert for General Muhammadu Buhari.
 The death-wish advert placed Buhari’s picture alongside former head of states from the north west who died in power, asking “will you  allow history to repeat itsself?”
 It then urged Nigerians to vote for Goodluck Jonathan saying northern presidency should wait till 2019.
Ayo Fayose is a member of ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who won re-election as governor of Ekiti state last year.
 Meanwhile, an APC chieftain, Alhaji Abubakar kawu Baraje, has called on the Inspector General of Police, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Chairman, Directorate of State Security (DSS) and other security agents not to ignore “inflammatory statements” originating from the PDP and its candidates particularly  Fayose.  

 Baraje, who made the call in Ilorin, said “There is a limit to the tolerance of well meaningful Nigerians to such inflammatory statements such as that of Governor Ayo Fayose. This shows the extent of the desperation of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
