The various measures being taken by some foreign countries to partner with the Nigerian government to see to the release of the girls has proved futile.
The agony of the parents of these girls, who have to pass through somedifficulties in seeing their children led some of themto develophealth related problems which resulted the death of some of the parents.
When other countries indicated their interest to assist Nigeria
to rescue the girls, it was applauded all over the world,that at last succour was coming to the abducted girls who have to face
life threatening experience of staying in Sambisa forest cohabiting with dangerous animals like snakes withoutoffending the system that needs to protect them.
The inability of President Goodluck Jonathan to pay a solidarity
visit to the families of these Chibok girls has not helped matters, as it has made many to believe he is not in sympathy with their plight.
Prayers and appealsby various groups across the world clamouring for their release have not made their captors see reason to release them to their families.
I have to commend the efforts of Pakistan child-girl campaigner Malala Yousafzai for her efforts to awaken our president to meet the abducted girls’ parents to try and find a way to rescue the innocent girls. I would like to call all relevant authorities to redouble their efforts in seen to release of these girls.
