Security personnel on “Operation Puff Adder” of Kano State Police Command have recovered more than 1000 rustled cows and arrested three suspects in a seven-day clearance operation at Felgore Forest, in Doguwa Local Government Area of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu who disclosed this yesterday in a press statement said the feat was recorded through collaborative efforts between the command and members of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association using community policing strategy.
He said the suspects had specialized in armed robbery and had been part of the syndicate terrorizing communities and travelers along Falgore Forest.
Iliyasu said assorted fire arms, including two AK-47 assault rifles and three pump action guns with over 110 rounds of live ammunition and cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
