The police in Oyo State have disclosed that no fewer than 10 suicide cases have been recorded in the state between June and September, 2022.

The Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams, disclosed this during an interactive session with newsmen on Wednesday.

Williams said that the development was worrisome considering the number involved.

He said three people died in June, two in July, while three and two others died in August and September respectively.

The police boss said those who committed suicide within the period were Basiru Ayomide (18), Obed Masoyi (28), Oladimeji John, Alawode Idowu (50) and Adebayo Israel (60).

Others are Sikiru Rafiu, Baba Mariam, Osasenage Osamade (16), Peter John and Abiodun Abdulraheem (28). (NAN)
