No fewer than 200 factional leaders of the APC across the 33 local government areas (LGAs) of Oyo State, under the APC Reformers, at the weekend gave marching orders to their members to begin wards and LGAs reconciliation of the party’s aggrieved members.

The group regretted the crisis that led to the misfortune of the party in the state in the 2019 general elections.

The APC Reformers, which comprises of political appointees, former state and federal lawmakers, former commissioners, former Special Advisers, and other aides to immediate past governor Abiola Ajimobi and other faithful leaders of the party, urged all the leaders to drop their ambitions to allow the reconciliation to work.

The group, in a communiqué issued after its meeting held at Red Roof Hotel, Toll Gate, Ibadan the state capital, signed by its chairman, a former commissioner for environment, Chief Lowo Obisesan, said though the national leadership of the party was aware of the role played by some leaders of the party in destroying its fortunes, they were in support of the move.

According to the communiqué, a former governor of the state, Chief Alao Akala, three former senators – Ayo Adesun, Teslim Folarin and Gbenga Babalola – were all part of the reconciliation move, adding that they sent their representatives to the meeting
