Oyo appoints rector, 4 other principal officers

Those appointed were Professor Olatunde Olubadejo Fawole, as Rector, Mr. Ayodele Hezekiah Fehintola, Registrar and Mr. Tiamiyu Rasheed Adeniyi as the Bursar. Hammed Abayomi Bakare was appointed the Librarian and Engr. Oyetoso Olufunmilayo John, was made the Director of Works in the institution.
It would be recalled that the students of the institution, who recently demonstrated in the city, disturbed vehicular movements and hijacked a shuttle bus belonging to the state government called Ajumose bus.
Some of the reasons for the students’ demonstration were the non-appointment of substantive principal officers of the institution and poor welfare conditions of their lecturers who are on strike.
The students urged the state government to accede to the demands of the lecturers so that academic activities could resume at the institution.
