The Zonal Coordinator, NCF, South-West Cricket Conference, Okon Ukpong, made the disclosure on Saturday at the close of the maiden edition of the Femi Esan Memorial Cricket tourney at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the finals of the Femi Esan Memorial tourney saw Rochas Foundation school, Ibadan defeating Oke Ado Comprehensive Secondary School also of Ibadan by 78 runs for eight wickets.

Oke Ado Comprehensive Secondary School recorded 75 runs for six wickets.

Ukpong said that the purpose of the tour was to expose the players and would take the team round schools in those states that also participated in the `Howzat’ competition as well as some Indian international schools.

For this feat, Rochas Foundation carted home the giant trophy at stake while Government College, Ibadan, emerged the second runners-up. (NAN)
