 The Oyo State government has launched a school-on-air learning programme in all public secondary schools.  

 The Commissioner for Education, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, in an interview with reporters in Ibadan said the ‘school on air’ programme is a unified controlled computer programme where videos of educational content of 16 subjects are deployed to all the 635 public secondary schools in the state. 

He said the aim is to get SSS III students adequately prepared for the 2018 SSCE and NECO examinations as well as enhancing effective learning especially in areas where some subjects’ teachers are not always available. 

 He said subjects in the programme include: Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Government, Literature in English, Civic Education, Financial Accounting, Agricultural Science, Commerce and Geography.
