Oyo REC debunks no confidence vote on Jega

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega, saying it was “a blatant lie.”
He said rather the body had pledged to involve all stakeholders for the success of the general elections.
Ambassador Akeji said RECs across the federation still “repose an implicit confidence in Professor Jega and the innovations being implemented.”
The Oyo REC made the assertions while speaking with newsmen in the Oyo State capital during the flag-off of market outreach/road show, presentation of voter education materials in Braille form with people with disabilities and State Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Voter Education and Publicity (NICVEP) meeting.
On the NICVEP, Ambassador Akeju explained that the establishment of the committee was the resolve of INEC to imbibe and entrench democratic ethos in all classes of Nigerians through sustained voter education and publicity of the principles embedded in the electoral process.
