President of the Pan African Women Project, Mrs Eno Ben Udensi, told the Catholic women that they stand to gain a lot from supporting the projects, especially in the area of eradicating poverty among women.
She said there is a preposition by the project to establish a women’s bank to empower African women, adding that professionals have been engaged to workout a blueprint for the bank, which will be presented at the conference in October.
According to her, other African countries are fighting to get the bank sited in their country and Nigeria is presently seeking the support of West African countries to pull block votes during the voting session for the bank to be sited in the country.
Reacting, National President of NCCWO, Chief (Mrs) Felicia Onyeabo thanked the Pan African Women Projects for their assistance to women.
She said the programmes of the group are somehow similar to that of the Catholic women because they are out to empower power and eradicate poverty.
The Catholic women’s leader assured the Pan African group of the support of her followers.
