PAN Nigeria gets license to produce 7,000 Alsvin Changan in-country

The feat was made possible through the technical agreement the company signed with the Changan International Corporation, Chongqin-China, the brand owners of the Alsvin.

Already, PAN Nigeria has said that it is licensed to produce the Alsvin in the country and market it across the West African sub-region.

With an annual mass production of at least 7000 units of the car starting with 3000, this year, Managing Director of PAN Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Dauda, said the project will create more jobs for Nigerians directly in the company as well as its accredited dealers.

The company’s boss, who spoke at the unveiling of Alsvin in Lagos, weekend, also said the project will re-ignite local component in the country, adding that the development would also indirectly employ numerous Nigerians through the company’s production facilities.

He said” We are here today because of the company’s sustained vision as the country’s leading automobile manufacturer in Nigeria. It is this drive that triggered PAN Nigeria triggered PAN Nigeria Limited to sign a technical agreement with the Changan International Corporation, Chongqin-China, and the brand owners of the Alsvin, a car internationally certified and we have found adaptable and affordable for a good majority of income earners in the country’’.

The duo of Alhaji Ahmed Kuru, Chairman of Enterprise Bank and Chief Akin Kekere Ekun, who unveiled the auto-brand commended the company for the project.

They noted that the fact it will create jobs in-country reflects the company’s thought on how to improve the auto-sector and the lives of Nigerians.

Speaking on some of the features of Alsvin, the company’s boss, said it is great from its exterior to the interior due to its sleek design, inspired by the parent company’s existing joint venture with Ford, Suzuki, and PSA.

He said its Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) is packaged for safety and emergencies, while the chassis and platform provide the most reliable and excellent road holding.

‘’Therefore, one can lay claim to the fact that Alsvin is from the completely new and high starting point global B2 platform of Changan vehicles, with a design technology of self adopting to multi-road conditions like what obtains on Nigerian  roads.

‘’Alsvin combines these advantages of Macpherson independent suspension and twist-beam with type semi independent suspension, leading to high and excellent power performance, comfort and road handling’’

Other key features of the brand include, cruise control, alloy rims, leather seat, remote keys, power windows and mirrors, sun roof, fog lamps, asr bags, ABS plus EBD and large trunk.
