The Principal of Fou’ad Lababidi Islamic Academy, Hajiya Rakiya Bamalli, has urged parents to pay more attention to their children, guiding them through both their academic pursuits and daily lives.

Speaking during the academy’s 28th Speech and Prize Giving Ceremony in Abuja, she noted that many parents don’t visit their children’s school, especially during Open Day, which is dedicated to parents appraising their children’s performance.

“This is a laudable event expecting full participation from parents; however, it is neglected by some who send individuals with little interest in a child’s academic progress,” she said. “In some cases, these individuals don’t even desire to comprehend the message or the need for meaningful engagement with teachers. This is a moral obligation on parents and should never be compromised.”

She reiterated the school’s determination to uphold its mission of providing the best education, as well as the moral and spiritual development of its students.

Bamalli announced that the school graduated 37 senior students and 90 junior students, adding that the school achieved major academic successes in WAEC and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) with students scoring 100% in credits and passes.
