The national vice president of the institute, Comrade T.B. Shuaibu who was speaking in Katsina during the launch of the state chapter noted that if passed into law, it will checkmate quackery and reduce the menace of building collapse. According to him, the bill has provided for all the necessary mechanisms that will bring defaulters  to justice noting that “the bill  has spelt out the role and responsibilities for every professional, including sanctions for any default”.
He said it is equally important for state chapters of the institute to reach out to members and put pressure towards ensuring the smooth passage of the bill.
President of the institute Mr. Tunde Lasabi charged members of the institute to always abide by professional ethics while practising adding, “We have a great task as members to be fully involved in the running of the institute.”
