A passenger has reportedly died while two others sustained injuries after a bus crashed at Yangoji, along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
A witness said the incident happened around 7:23 pm on Saturday when an 18-seater commuter bus with registration number EUN 514 XL somersaulted after a tyre burst.
He said one of the passengers died on the spot while two others, who sustained injuries, were evacuated to the hospital by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
An official of the FRSC, who was part of the rescue operations, attributed the accident to speed limit violation and overloading.

He said the corpse of the passenger had been deposited at Kwali General Hospital’s morgue, while the two injured victims were at the same hospital receiving treatment.
