An Abuja pastor identified as John Ogbonna, who had gone to pray and fast against the hardship in Nigeria has been found dead on top of mountain along Arab Road in Abuja.
The deceased body’s video, which went viral on social media since last Saturday, showed that the pastor climbed the rocky mountain to pray for the country to overcome the current economic hardships. His lifeless body was found last Thursday on top of the mountain.
City & Crime gathered that the deceased hailed from the Ohazara community in Ebonyi State and resided at Mpape, an Abuja suburb in the FCT.
It was learnt that a man, Mr Obinna Okorie, who identified the deceased, alerted his relations, who mobilised to the mountain to bring down his corpse.

Mr Obinna Okorie confirmed to our reporter that the deceased was his neighbour at Mpape village and had been a committed Christian, preached about and always observe fasting.
He said, “Yes, I also saw the video and his relations were alerted, who mobilised to the mountain along Arab road and conveyed it to the mortuary.”
The spokeswoman for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh could not be reached for comment on the incident.
