Returning Officer of the Abia South Senatorial district election Dr. Ikechukwu Okwulehie has declared Enyinnaya Abaribe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner with a 101,433 votes.
Chris Nkwonat of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) polled 70,502 votes, while Chinonye Macebuh of the All Progressive Congress (APC) recorded 3530 votes.
C.C Okwuonu of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) scored 4, 481, Ekeke Zibi of Labour Party (LP) got 397 votes; Akomas Osondu of United Democratic Party (UDP), 121, and Uzuu Nwarie, UPP 55 votes.
In the Aba Federal Constituency, Ossy Prestige of APGA got 47,763 votes to defeat Uzor Azubuike of the PDP who scored 19,063 votes. The returning officer Prof Celestine Kadurumab declared the results.
