Aggrieved leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State yesterday blamed Governor Seyi Makinde for the division of the party in the state.

The leaders at a well attended stakeholders meeting in Ibadan, described the governor as a ‘stranger’ in the party who abandoned the structure of the PDP but adopted structure of his former political party, Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Those who attend the meeting are: Former deputy governor, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarunmi, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeniyan, Femi Babalola, youth leader of the party, Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye, Majekodunmi Aborode, Ibaa Nureni Akanbi, and other leaders of the party across the state.

A member of House of Representatives, Muraina Ajibola and a former Majority Leader, Alhaja Mulikat Adeola could not make the meeting but sent representatives.

In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, the leaders called on the national leadership of the party to dissolve Oyo State PDP Executive who according to the party, are stooges of the governor.
