The Lagos PDP deputy governorship candidate and popular Nollywood actress, Olufunke Akindele, yesterday vowed that the PDP government, if elected in 2023, would amend unpopular market laws.
She stated this when she took campaigns to some notable markets in Alimosho local government as part of the three-day tour of the council with the party’s candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, aka Jandor.

Both the candidate and his running mate have been meeting with critical stakeholders and groups in the communities making up the Alimosho LG, regarded as the most populated local government in Nigeria.
Akindele, who toured various markets in the same local government area to seek support ahead of the 2023 general elections, reiterated that the PDP government led by Jandor would not close down any market but punish whoever flouted the law.
At the Council Market in Alimosho, Akindele told traders that only the PDP candidate has the vision and passion to make Lagos work for all residents, regardless of ethnic background.
Addressing traders at Igando Market, Akindele told the traders that she would not disappoint women, youth and children in the state if given the opportunity to serve.
