The crisis rocking the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday took another dimension when two groups within the party held parallel ward congresses.
Our correspondent reports a faction loyal to the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the other led by Alhaji Nureni Akanbi held parallel exercises in the state.
It was also learnt that the home of a factional leader of the party, Alhaji Nureni Akanbi, came under attack in the early hours of yesterday.
Meanwhile, a group within the Oyo State PDP “Oyo PDP like-minds” has raised alarm over alleged complicity of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
The coordinator of the group, Adewale Kolawole, made the allegation while speaking with journalists in Ibadan.
