PDP has taken an early lead in governorship and state legislature polls in Rivers, according to results released by INEC in Port Harcourt.
Nyesom Wike of PDP has won in 15 of 17 local government areas, while Dakuku Peterside of APC won in two.
Some of the LGAs won by PDP are Oyigbo, Okrika, Ogu/Bolo, Tai, Gokana, while APC won in only two LGA’s of Eleme and Opopo.
Results of 6 LGA are being awaited.
State legislators of PDP cleared all assembly seats in 15 local government areas, while APC retained two.
INEC resident electoral Commission Gasilan Khan said election was held in all the 23 LGA’s of the State except few. Units were election was inconclusive.
