A meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has kicked off in Abuja.
The party’s acting national chairman, Umar Damagum, is presiding over the meeting taking place at the party’s national secretariat, popularly known as Wadata Plaza.
Among the issues to deliberate on at the meeting is the elective national convention where a new crop of National Working Committee (NWC) members of the party would emerge ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The NEC meeting started shortly after the Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting held at the same venue.

Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, Governors Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), and Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa) are in attendance.
