The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara, who presided over the sitting, put the question weather any member of the NEC was against the motion, but the overwhelming majority agreed that a vote of confidence be passed on Ayu and the party leadership.

Ndudi said the move was because of their leadership quality in winning the Osun State Governorship election and leading the party in the right direction.

Meanwhile , while delivering his speech, Ayu said, “I want to start this meeting by announcing that the Chairman of the BoT, has decided to step down. He stepped down to enjoy his remaining months. He has served this party meritoriously rising to the position of BoT Secretary and Chairman.”
