Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Labour Party (LP) and Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) have formally dumped their parties for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The event held at the Unity Fountain, on Thursday in Abuja, saw the decampees dropping their former parties’ membership and identity cards as they were welcomed to the APC.
The Director General of the Confederation of All Progressives Congress Support Groups (CASG), Prof. Kailani Muhammad, commended the decampees for their patriotism.
He said their action is a sign of fundamental discernment that the positive narratives attached to democratic enshrinement and development are taking root deeply in Nigeria.

The APC FCT chapter vice chairman, Mr Patrick Ogunyemi, assured the decampees of justice and inclusion.
