PDP not doing enough for Jonathan’s re-election— Campaign committee

Speaking at the training programme for “Operation Deliver Your Ward” in Abuja yesterday, deputy director of the PDP presidential campaign organisation, Professor Tunde Adeniran said the party should have projected the achievements of the present administration more than it is doing now to boost Jonathan’s chances at the polls.
Adeniran did not mention names but he is making the statement at a time there are allegations  that the PDP national chairman Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu is not doing much for President Jonathan’s re-election bid.
He said Jonathan’s achievements ought to have been the focus of the party long before now in order that by now, Jonathan’s image and vision would have spoken for him than individuals.
“So don’t pretend about President Jonathan’s achievements, the stage we are in now is to transmit positive messages to the people especially at the grassroots level.
“We are going to train about 600,000 people. This is not an afterthought anyway. It is an on-going thing. We believe that our people should be trained up to the very end. New situations breeds new ideas. All along, we made sure that our people at various levels have been going through different orientations so that they will be able to know what to do at what point and where. What we are doing today is an update of what we have been doing,” he said.
Director of contact and mobilisation of the campaign organisation, Professor Jerry Gana said the final phase of the party’s presidential campaign is designed to focus intensely on grassroots mobilisation and education of voters at the ward and polling unit levels.
Gana said Jonathan is the only president who has brought a new political order and uncommon transformation of the country’s sectors, adding that N100 billion is being pumped annually into the education sector alone.
