“I want all of us to buckle up. There is work to be done because our people do not believe in the leadership they have any more. And for us to make them believe in this leadership, the leadership must be sincere to the people. The leadership must be elected by the people. We don’t want to hoist anybody on the Nigerian people,” he said.
He said: “Our party stands at a critical point in the life of our country. The PDP is the life wire of political democracy in Nigeria. PDP also stands at a crucial point in the democratization of Africa because if we get it right in PDP, we will get it right in Nigeria and we will get it right in Africa. The government that meets the needs of the people and is always there for the people because there is no government that can work without relating with the people and achieve target at predicated times.”
