The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has presented a Certificate of Return to Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, CON, officially confirming him as the party’s recognised governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Gombe State.

The presentation took place on Wednesday during the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and the inauguration of the party’s 2026–2030 NEC members at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting was presided over by the PDP National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, whose leadership, according to the party, has been affirmed by the Supreme Court and recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

As part of the event, the PDP presented Certificates of Return to its governorship candidates for the 2027 elections whose nominations have been recognised and published by INEC.

Party officials said the exercise was aimed at reaffirming the status of candidates whose nominations had met all legal and electoral requirements and had been duly acknowledged by the electoral commission.

The development is expected to strengthen the PDP’s preparations for the 2027 general elections in Gombe State, where Pantami is expected to lead the party’s campaign for the governorship seat.
