The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has won 19 out of the 26 seats in the Ondo State House of Assembly while the All Progressive Congress (APC) won five even as the result of two seats in Ilaje Local Government constituency I and 2 were yet to be declared due to violence recorded in the area during the exercise on Saturday.

Although the real figure scored by each parties were still being awaited as at the time of filling this report, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the State, Mr Olusegun Agbaje told newsmen that the election was characterized by low turn- out of voters across the state and with security breaches in some local governments areas.

He listed some of the affected areas as Akoko North West, Akoko South West, Ese-Odo, Idanre, Ilaje, Irele, Okitipupa, Ondo East, Owo and Ose.

He also said that the returning Officers for Ilaje constituency 1 and 2 were forced to declare the result under duress by armed thugs, even though the cancelled polling units could affect the final results.

He said in separate reports to the REC, the returning officer however declared the result inconclusive because the outcome of the cancelled polling units could change the final results.
