Peace corps wants FG to end ASUU strike

Speaking at a press briefing, National Commandant of PCN, Ambassador Dicksoh Akoh said that the inability of federal government to find a lasting solution to the strike action of the lecturers is condemnable and has adverse implications on the intellectual development of our youths.
 He said: “Besides, these strikes if not abated will in a way confirm the Global Monitoring Report of UNESCO that Nigeria has the largest population of out-of-school children, an indication that Nigeria might not achieve the goal of Education for all by 2018.’’
He said no nation desirous of genuine development will undermine its educational sector and urged President Goodluck Jonathan to urgently intervene and bring a lasting solution to the crisis in the sector.
